Diesel Farm - Marostica Italia - RR55 - vino olio e grappa da agricoltura biologica - la terra e la biodiversità
Biodiversity
What I reap from the land, I return to it through traditional agronomic methods combined with innovative techniques, such as ower green manuring and dry farming.

My commitment to maintain the biodiversity and beauty of the hills where I grow vines and olive trees has inevitably led me to adopt agricultural practices that do not involve the use of any synthetic chemical substances.

The land generously provides us with its fruits and should not be exploited or polluted.
Man needs to become its custodian, taking care of it and loving it every day.

What I reap from the land, I return to it through traditional agronomic methods combined with innovative techniques, such as ower green manuring and dry farming. Doing so, I can contribute to keeping it fertile, allowing it to continue bearing fruit over time.

Follow me on these pages. I will tell you about the history of my farm, the territory around it and the products I grow and process.

Territory
It is a truly unique place and I believe that I made the right choice in saving this land.

We are situated in the northern part of the province of Vicenza, 300 metres above sea level. Our hilly land, covering 100 hectares, is crossed by a special crossroads of winds that are favourable to growing unique high-quality crops: the wind that blows in from the Adriatic Sea and the one that descends from the Pre-Alps.

As the crow ies, the sea is 55 km away and the mountains also 55 km away. Diesel Farm is spread out over 5 hills and 5 is my magic number, since it has always brought me luck. I rescued this land from a destiny that would have covered it in cement. And now, it not only provides us with its fruits but also meadows that are home to cows, goats, sheep, horses and hens, as well as wild boars, roe deer, squirrels and birds, including falcons that have returned to repopulate our hills. It makes me happy and content to see people jogging, families with children exploring nature, loving couples enjoying the beautiful landscape while calmly strolling along the road that crosses our property.

Organic
I converted my farm to an organic one, taking steps that even went beyond those required by organic certification.

I was born on a farm. I attended a fashion school because I was not very interested in studying, so my father let me enter a world that was entirely different to my origins.

As soon as the opportunity arose, I bought a farm because I had never forgotten the farming tradition and what he had taught me.
Then I met Fabio Brescacin (president of EcorNaturaSì), one of the key players of organic and biodynamic agriculture.

I learned from him that crops grown without using chemical substances and focusing on maintaining fertility can be good for agriculture and for our children in the future.

So I converted my farm to an organic one, taking steps that even went beyond those required by organic certi cation.

Thanks to ongoing studies and research to improve the wellbeing of plants and the land, with the collaboration of experts and researchers, we not only adopted many practices typical of biodynamic agriculture but also became an eco-sustainable farm, in harmony and balance with the surrounding environment. A real Biosphere.
